So, I have moved to Kuching since last July 2019 and decide to give the hiking scene in Kuching a try.  I may even start a #sarawakhiddengems series. Should I? I should right?

I decided to post how exactly we did the trek for future references to those who want to try this trek in the future.

How to get there?
We needed to pass through paddy fields so stay on the path and be careful not to destroy the paddies :)


Located in Kampung Sadir, Padawan.
One and half hour drive from Kuching to Padawan
One and half to an hour by foot through the paddy fields towards the waterfalls.

Recommendations

  1. Start Early  - We started our trek at around 11am and it was scorching hot! The trek is relatively easy and short but the hot sun did no good to my already debilitating stamina.
  2. Water - Pack enough drinking water. Brought some snacks too <3
  3. Trash - Make sure to pick up after yourselves. DO NOT LEAVE TRASH
  4. Do you need a guide?  - Not necessarily no. We opted to use Wikiloc. But a local guide is available should you need one.
  5. Have proper hiking shoes!  Even if the hike is short for comfortability. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. I opted for something waterproof. So what else but the infamous Adidas Kampung
